Title: Great Fleabane

Description: Great fleabane is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is native to the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. It mostly inhabits wetlands and other coastal habitats. Its common names are sweetscent, saltmarsh fleabane, and shrubby camphorweed. The scientific name is Pluchea odorata. The plant has bright pinkish or magenta colored flowers on it. In the Caribbean, it is mostly used for herbal tea. According to the research of Elizabeth Windsong, it can be made into a bitter tonic for upset stomach.
