Description: The family of my plant is Polygonaceae. It's 'Iipay Aa name is kish. It was used for its leaves, which were boiled as greens. Curly dock has a flower stalk, or inflorescence, that can grow up to a meter high. The plant is green and the flower stalks can vary in color. This one is rusty brown/red. This specimen was collected between 1978 and 1982 on the Barona Indian Reservation. Its scientific name is Rumex crispus. No notes were found on the original card from Elizabeth Windsong.
