Title: Mayweed

Description: Mayweed is found in Europe and it is a non—native plant. The scientific name is Anthemis cotula and the family is sunflower. The leaves have soft hair on them and they can grow from 2.5 to 5 centimeters long. Each stem has one flower which has a strong stinking smell, hence its other name "stinking chamomile." The single flower is usually up to one inch across. The color of the plant is green with white and yellow flowers. Also the name cotula is a Greek name for "small cup." Mayweed is very toxic to dogs, cats, horses and guinea pigs. So make sure to keep them away from this plant. No notes were found on the original card from Elizabeth Windsong.
