Barona Cultural Center & Museum

Week 5, Heritage Class
 

This week, the students learned the process of planting young plants. We purchased Milkweed, Black Willow, Laurel Sumac, Torrey Pine, Mohave Yucca and Chaparral Yucca from RECON Native Plants, Inc. Museum Staff taught the kids the process of digging the holes, preparing the soil, loosening the roots of the plants, and making a watering trough at the base of each plant.

The students continued to weed and clean the Garden.
