Willow trees were essential to Kumeyaay/Diegueño livelihood. Its branches provided shelter, bark for clothing and pain relief, and its leafy twigs were made into baskets. These baskets were used as granaries to store acorns. Learn to make your own miniature granary basket with Eva Salazar (Kumeyaay).
