Visiting the Museum

The Museum is located at 1095 Barona Road on the Barona Band of Mission Indians' Reservation.  Admission to the Museum is free.  

 

We are open Thursday and Friday, from Noon to 5:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please call to schedule tours and research appointments: (619) 443-7003 x219

Directions

  • Take Highway 8 from San Diego going east to Highway 67.

  • Turn right onto Mapleview, left on Ashwood.

  • Continue through the 4-way stop as Ashwood turns into Wildcat Canyon Road.

  • Proceed six miles to the majestic Barona Valley.

  • PASS THE ENTRY TO THE CASINO and continue another mile towards the Barona Community Center (look for the tennis courts).

  • The Museum is on the left, located within the Barona Community Center.

  • Present your Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP or CalFresh) card, or Women, Infants & Children (WIC) card and your photo ID at the Museum Store to receive 20% off educational merchandise.
