Description:         Ragweed is native to North America. It is also known as bursage and barrowbrush. The scientific name of ragweed is Ambrosia psilostachya. Ambrosia means "food of the gods" in Greek. Ragweed pollen is a common allergen. One plant can make about a billion grains of pollen. Ragweed is more light green than dark green. It has little balls with spikes on them. According to the research of Elizabeth Windsong, ragweed causes liver sensitivity, has a strong taste of pine, and builds strong lungs.
