                          (previously Sambucus mexicana)

Common English Name: Blue Elderberry

Traditional Use: decoction or tea for chills/fever; poultice for rheumatism; infusion for babies with fever; berries can be eaten fresh or dried; wood used for bows and flutes; leaves used as dye for juncus.
