Common English Name: Lemonade Berry

Traditional Use: berries used as a drink for constipation; fruits used as a syrup for stomach aches and coughs; seeds made into a tea for fever; bark made into a tea for babies; berries can be eaten fresh or used to flavor water; seeds ground, leached and boiled into mush.

Collected on the Barona Indian Reservation, San Diego County
